Grahame started his career in 1971 at the Southampton Branch of Stenhouse London Ltd and was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager of the Bristol Branch in 1980. In 1984 he moved to an independent broker, W J Shore & Co Ltd but when that company was sold to a national broker in 1990 he left to start up his own company, Martin & Galpin, which was acquired by Lampier in 2006.
